You Have To Check Before Driving

you have to check before driving a vehicle for safety. 
 
1. Your vehicle is registered.
2. Registration number is displayed prominently in front and rear of your vehicle in the prescribed manner.
3. Your vehicle is insured to cover liability in respect of any third party risk.
4. You are not under the influence of drinks/drugs.
5. You have a valid driving license for the type of vehicle you are driving.
6. You are physically and mentally fit to drive. 



7. Your vehicle is in roadworthy condition. A vehicle which is not roadworthy is a risk to your own life and of others.


8. Your vehicle has brakes of sufficient strength
9. Your vehicle has headlight, backlight for illuminating the number plate.
10. Your vehicle has tyres properly inflated and in good and sound condition.
11. Your vehicle has a horn in working order.
12. Your vehicle is fitted with a silencer.
13. Your vehicle has efficient automatic windscreen wiper.
14. Your vehicle has a rear-view mirror appropriately fitted.
15. Your vehicle does not emit smoke.
16. Your vehicle has proper tool-kit, first-aid box, spare tyres & fuses, papers including registration certificate, insurance cover note and pollution under control certificate.
17. Please ensure that a card is made with your photograph, name and address, ph no., blood group, information on allergy, any disease suffering from etc. and is always kept in your and in your children's pocket while in journey or while away from home.
18. No lights other than those permitted in the Motor Vehicles Rules can be fitted on the vehicle. This includes spotlights, searchlights, mercury lamps, moving lights and fancy lights. Dome lights are also not permitted unless specifically authorized.
19. No TV/Video display is allowed in a vehicle where it may be a disturbance to the driver.
20. No multi-tone horns can be fitted onto a vehicle. Also, Horns producing musical notes, unduly harsh, shrill or alarming noises are also prohibited.
