Ferrari 599 Idaman

The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiarano’s successor has been announced and it’s one hell of a car.  The car is called Ferrari F12 Berlinetta and is the most powerful and fastest Ferrari ever produced.  The all-new F12 Berlinetta will be unveiled at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show.

The Ferrari F12 Berlinetta is powered by a naturally aspirated V12 engine mounted in front of the driver.  The V12 engine produces a massive 730 horsepower and 509 pound-feet of torque, the engine can rev up to 8,700 rpm.  Power is sent to the rear wheels via a dual-clutch F1 transmission.  The F12 is 30% more fuel efficient than the car it replaces while gaining 118 HP.

Ferrari 458 Italia Keyen

Anderson Germany replaced the stock hood, trunk, roof, mirrors, rear diffuser, the trim around the tail lights, the wheels, and even the door handles with carbon fiber pieces.  I don’t think I’ve seen this much carbon fiber on any tuned car other than the ones produced by Mansory.

With this many body upgrades, the car needed to have power upgrades to match and Anderson Germany didn’t disappoint.  The Ferrari 458 Italia’s V8 engine is now producing 623 horsepower with the help of an upgraded exhaust system and a re-tuned ECU.  The car has been lowered and rides on 21” wheels with high performance tires.

Ferrari 599xx

The upcoming Geneva Motor Show next week will lack a few manufacturers but have some stunning introductions including a few from Ferrari. Ferrari will be taking the wraps off of the Ferrari 599XX and 599 GTB HGTE. If the 599XX reminds you of the FXX name then you may be onto something. The 599XX will be a tricked-out version of the Ferrari 599 GTB incorporating some of the latest technologies and engineering that Ferrari has to offer.

Some of the tricks may be those used on the race track and on street cars but it will be something fresh and new. Although I cannot agree that the 599 is a looker when you compare it to other Ferraris or even it’s cousin, the Maserati. Below is a sneak preview image from Ferrari. Will you be a fan of the Ferrari 599XX or Ferrari GTB HGTE? If so then you probably won’t be able to get one unless you have owned several other Ferraris. Remember the program that Ferrari had if you wanted to purchase an Enzo? Yea, Ferrari says NO unless you are truly “loyal” and you have to have a few of these Italian horses in your garage already to even be considered to be put on the list for a 599XX.

Ferrari FF

Geneva, March 1st – The 81st Geneva International Motor Show will play host to the unveiling of two major new Prancing Horse innovations: the revolutionary FF, a four-wheel drive four-seater with a mid-front V12 that is the most powerful and versatile car Ferrari has ever built, and the 458 Italia sporting the HELE (High Emotions Low Emissions) System which cuts CO2 to just 275 g/km.

This new emissions figure represents a reduction of 15 per cent and is another remarkable achievement for the 458 Italia which has already received over 20 awards from the world’s most prestigious car magazines. The 458 Italia now boasts the lowest emissions of any sports car in its class on the market.

Ferrari California

The new Ferrari California will satisfy even the most demanding of owners in term of its superb vehicle dynamics and driving pleasure. The new model will be available exclusively as a convertible with a folding hard top. Both chassis and bodywork are aluminium, in line with the rest of the current range. The California will be powered by a new V8 engine mounted for the first time in the marque's history in the mid-front position.

In line with Ferrari tradition, the new model also features several innovations. Apart from its folding hard top, these include the original 2+ concept which guarantees exceptional versatility of use in the rear of the car. The California's 4,300 cc V8 engine features direct fuel injection and a "flat" crankshaft. It generates 460 CV at 7,500 rpm with a torque curve that enhances vehicle dynamics and provides maximum driving pleasure which is typical for Ferrari.

Ferrari 458

Maranello, 19th May - The Ferrari 458 Italia continues to go from strength to strength and has garnered over 30 international awards in its short career. Yesterday, it added two further plaudits to that collection at the International Engine of the Year Awards when its V8 was voted “Best Performance Engine” and “Best Engine Above 4 Litres”.

Ferrari F50

The F50 was the Ferrari "extreme machine" of the nineties taking over the mantle from the F40. As with the F40 it was also a celebration model, this time heralding fifty years of Ferrari as a car manufacturer, albeit in reality a little early. At the unveiling of the new model at the 1995 Geneva Salon, Ferrari President Luca Di Montezemolo stated that only 349 examples would be produced, one less than they thought that they could sell. A definite change in marketing strategy, brought about by the change in market conditions, after the slump at the beginning of the decade.

Whereas the two previous "Supercars" had been powered by turbocharged V8 engines, the nineties variant used a normally aspirated V12 engine as the motive force, albeit more than fifty per cent greater in capacity than its predecessors. Similarly the earlier models had introduced increasing degrees of technology learned from the Formula One cars, particularly in the field of composite materials.
